Wood and mother-of-pearl stool 35 x 35 x 45h cm

Code:27307

This stool has an inner MDF structure fully covered in natural mother-of-pearl or capiz shell tiles in grey, laid by hand in a mosaic of triangular shapes that creates a very distinctive iridescent effect. Each capiz tile reflects light differently, giving off a pearly, shifting shimmer that varies depending on the angle it's viewed from. Its cube shape and 35x35x45h cm dimensions make it a versatile piece that can be used as a side stool, an occasional table next to a sofa, or a decorative pedestal for plants or sculptures. The handcrafted covering of capiz shell, applied piece by piece by hand, means each stool shows slight variations in the grain and shine of the shells, making every unit one of a kind. The inner MDF structure provides strength and stability, while the pearly covering holds up well to daily use with basic care. It's a strikingly eye-catching decorative piece, ideal for adding a touch of understated luxury and a handcrafted finish to living rooms, bedrooms or entryways in a contemporary or eclectic style.
