This antique Indian green door in recycled wood is a piece of great ornamental beauty with carving of diamond shapes, solar rosettes and decorative motifs. With dimensions of 137x34x229h cm, the double door features leaves with panels carved in geometric and floral motifs: inscribed diamonds, circular rosettes with spokes, grooved panels and concentric diamond motifs, all painted in aged turquoise blue with the wood colour showing through in the reliefs. The solid frame features a lintel with artisan carving and pilasters with vertical flutes. The hardware includes brass handles with decorative finish and original lock. A monumental piece of 229 cm height from an ancient Indian haveli of great decorative impact.
