Hand-painted relief art with wooden frame 82 x 5 x 82h cm

Code:31944

Dress your wall with texture and order with this beige hand-painted picture, made from canvas, Chinese fir wood and plastic. Measuring 82x5x82h cm, its square format looks balanced above a chest of drawers, a wide bedside table or the sofa in a small living room.

The centre of the canvas is taken up by a 3x3 grid of panels with pleated relief, where the direction of the pleats alternates between horizontal and vertical from one square to the next, like a woven fabric. The panels combine two soft tones that reinforce the chequerboard effect, and the whole piece is surrounded by a band with a palette-knife paint texture.

The slim wooden frame closes off the piece with a clean finish. The changing direction of the pleats means light falls differently on each square, so the picture changes with the time of day and viewing angle. It suits japandi-style bedrooms, living rooms in neutral tones and reading corners.
