This elephant side table in handcrafted wood is a unique decorative furniture piece full of personality, with dimensions of D39x40h cm. The base is carved and hand-painted in the form of an upright elephant with the trunk curled upward, and the upper circular top is decorated with floral and geometric motifs hand-painted in rich multicolour polychromy. The elephant features an elaborate pictorial work with the body in black and details in golden ochre, orange, white and green that recreate the jewellery, harnesses and headdresses of Indian ceremonial elephants. The expressive eyes, the detail of the ears and the legs with ankle rings add an exceptional level of artisan detail. The top section, of 39 cm diameter, features hand-painted floral motifs on an intense red background with a coloured border. Perfect as a side table next to the sofa, as a bedside table or as a focal decorative element in living rooms with ethnic, boho or colonial style.
